Question by law: How do i use my vintage floor standing speakers?

thats what it looks like. all it has on the back is the red and black thing shown in the pic. It does not look like a port to me, and i dont know how to use it.
the red and black thing is not like a regular port. it does not fit in flushly at all.

we own a yamaha rx-v1700 and want to upgrade our speakers. is the bose acoustimass 10 compatibe with the yamaha?

Your Yamaha is a 7.1 SSR. The Bose 10 is 5.1, meaning you will not have the 2 extra speakers for 7.1 outputs from the Bose.

A good alternative is to buy a powered sub (Yamaha, Klipsch, etc.) and use the direct speaker outputs of the SSR — you will need 7 total — that will fit into your room design. Try to keep ALL speakers the same make and model!

Question by stranger: How to adjust the volume of each speakers in a Panasonic SC-PT770 Home Theater system?
The sound from my rear (wireless) speakers are too low. It’s the same case even for 5.1 supported sounds. How can I bump up the sound level of my rear speakers. I read somewhere a few months ago that you can adjust the volume of each speaker separately in this home theater system but cannot find any settings for that. Any help will be appreciated..

Go to speaker level settings on system menu.
